They have a special cord you can buy at bestbuy for a rip off deal for 40$. But thats just for video, you got to find the Adapter for Audio. Like it has the 2 different color ones that needs to be converted to a jack or something.

To hook the original xbox up to your monitor, without any modding work done to it, you will need this, in addition to the HD kit:

As for the xbox 360, buy the VGA kit.
