Ipod touch 2nd generation help.

I wanted to get one because of all the cool stuff you can do on it. I wanted to jailbreak it but when I asked someone about it they said that it wasn't hackable and I couldn't hack the 2nd generation ipod touch. Is this true? I won't get one unless I can hack it because I want all those free apps.

YES, you CAN jailbreak the Touch 2G and put all the awesome apps on there . I know what I'm gonna do when I get my iPhone in December!
