hmm let us know how it runs with that 2600pro. my 8600gts doesnt run it well in directx10 mode but directx9 works pretty well. I'm waiting for the 180 drivers to come out

Well I've been controlling my computer remotely at my "workplace" and I did the benchmark with ALL settings on Ultra High, 1280x1024x75 in DX10 mode, and I saw it saying 9FPS. Hopefully with my 4850 that I'm getting in a few weeks will make that number 6-10x as much. I closed out of the remote control app so it can finish the benchmark.

Benchmark settings:

Settings: Demo(Ranch Small), 1280x1024 (75Hz), D3D10, Fixed Time Step(No), Disable Artificial Intelligence(No), Full Screen, Anti-Aliasing(None), VSync(No), Overall Quality(Custom), Vegetation(Very High), Shading(Ultra High), Terrain(Ultra High), Geometry(Ultra High), Post FX(High), Texture(Ultra High), Shadow(Ultra High), Ambient(High), Hdr(Yes), Bloom(Yes), Fire(Very High), Physics(Very High), RealTrees(Very High)

Loop 1 Results:

* Total Frames: 345, Total Time: 51.06s    
* Average Framerate: 6.76    
* Max. Framerate: 13.15 (Frame:0, 0.08s)    
* Min. Framerate: 0.52 (Frame:320, 46.27s)

Loop 2 Results:

* Total Frames: 412, Total Time: 51.01s    
* Average Framerate: 8.08    
* Max. Framerate: 14.19 (Frame:63, 6.50s)    
* Min. Framerate: 5.49 (Frame:336, 42.88s)

Average:

* Average Framerate: 7.42    
* Max. Framerate: 13.21    
* Min. Framerate: 4.46

I'll try DX9 settings now. lol, 0.5FPS, I wouldn't mind that!

EDIT: In DX9 mode I get probably 2-3x more FPS in both runs. Remember that everything is on Ultra High. DAMN I can't wait until I get my 4850!

I'm waiting for the DX 10 patch for this bad boy. Age of Conan's Mammoth in the E-Mountains. There huge as hell, and back then I couldn't kill one. Now I can happily kill them to my hearts content.

My 7600GT played AoC on medium settings. Far Cry 2 would look so much better if you just set it up on medium. I could never play that game like that. Too blockly and pixelated. Btw, I run at the same Resolution.
