Hello everyone,
I currently have an ATI Radeon HD 128mb graphics card on my computer, but I would like to get another card with some oomph. I was thinking an EVGA GeForce 8500 GT because of a really good deal I found (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3738465&CatId=28), but one thing I was considering, is it possible to have a dual configuration of an ATI and Nvidia card? I don't necessarily want to get rid of my old card if it can contribute more video memory ;)
Thanks in advance to anyone who knows!

i think that only applies to nVidia.
For ATI, you can use any card in the series. IE the HD4850 and CF with the HD4870.
Problem with that is that the HD4870 will be reduced down to the HD4850.

First off you must have 2 PCI-Ex16 slots. Then you must have the same brand and series. If nVidia you need the same model. So, no, you can't do that. If you're going to buy a new card get the 8600GT or better.
