The Final Build

Go with this OCZ 500W modular PSU. It has more than sufficient power and it's modular, so no messy cables.

I'd personally stick with an Intel chipset, such as the P35/P45. It's not like he's buying something like a GTX 280 that he could SLi later. In the very near future, when he come to upgrade, there will almost definitely be cards that will outperform a 9800GT SLi setup for the same price.

yea i was going for a cheap MOBO lol how about this?

That one is a lot better, and only slightly more than the MSI board. I'm pretty damn unfamiliar with Nvidia chipsets though- wait for someone else to advice you on that.

I'm still rooting for the 4850 though :)

A 4850 and a P35/45 chipset and you're golden. :D

So Intel chipsets are better than Nvidia chipsets for single Nvidia cards?

Cool stuff. :)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161251 is this a good card instead of a GeForce? i will change the MOBO also

The 4850 AND the 9800 GT destroy the 4670 :p

Fantastic Mobo. Worshipme has it, he pushed a 500FSB on it (I think)....you can do some great overclocking on it...if you want to.

Tell you what. Get the 9800GT and that mobo. You're on a budget, and the 9800GT is $40 less with pretty close performance to the 4850.

If you do plan to overclock, you need a better heatsink:

I got it i think, how about this?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131232 MOBO

I don't think the 9800GTX is a good choice. With the mail-in-rebate, the 4850 is only $140, and it's more powerful (and about on par with the 9800GTX+).

Otherwise, just get the 9800GT.

You play at 1440x960, just get this 9800GT and be happy.

I wouldn't recommend spending over $100 on a P35 though, you can get a decent P45 board for the same price, you'd be better off with that.

ok since i think i got it this is the final build

Price $889.89 + $43.69 Shipping + $65.35 tax (dang New Jersey) = 998.83

Not for that price, like I said earlier, you only play at 1440x960, a 9800GT is more than sufficient.
Go with a cheap P45 board. Upgrading to 9800GT SLi won't be worth it in the future.
If you need to save money, you DO NOT skimp on the PSU, you're skimping on the most important part of the system that is supplying power to all the components. The money you save on the 9800GTX, you can spend on a better PSU.
