Restoring Windows Vista to Factory Settings...

...without having had set system restore points and having lost the restore discs. How am I to execute this?

Depends on a few things, what is the brand/model/custom build pc?

Restore points means XP or later but doesn't reveal which one.

Restore disks point to a brand name pc, have you checked their website for replacement media costs?

Buy new os disks?

Ah... the way they had stated it it made it sound like restore discs were not available for sale. After one google, first result led to a page to purchase new OS discs. Thanks for your help and sorry for my ignorance.

Before you buy, look online. Sometimes you can get the CDs for download instead of paying for them. Don't appoligize for ignorance. If you were ignorant here you wouldn't have listened to ATF
