what can i use to light my keyboard?

Looks hella ugly, but I guess it works.

haha, yeah, and im pretty sure that he had experience, so when someone that never did this before will make it look even worse. Kind of seem like you will need more than $5 if you dont have a solder tool.
I think i would rather dish out the $30 than to do something like that.

EDIT - I have the Saitek Eclipse 1, it was free.
The Eclipse 2 can glow like 3 colors while the Eclipse can only glow 1.
Its a nice keyboard, i like it.

now why can you just get one of those simple book reading lamps that have a clip? pretty cheap...and easy to find i am sure.

You can buy a few 5mm lights and glue them underneath the keys. Then just find a way to power then somehow.

you need to know several more things than just that
how many will be in your array
their power consumption
and how to add power

if you just add power to an LED and not care
you WILL burn it out
and they smell bad when you do
use this
LED wizard
then figure out how you are going to apply power
add in the numbers
(if you will use a 9 v battery, or some other source what ever that my be)
it will spit out a diagram of the array
it will tell you how many you can run off of that power source and what resistor to use so that you dont burn them out
fyi
put the resistor at the end of the line, that way all of the necessary power will go to the LEDs
and the resistor will stop all of the unnecessary going through
prevent a burn out
