Well basically can't get my computer to log in, the following is the problem I'm experiencing,

After starting the system up and getting past the stage where I can enter BIOS it comes to the following error,

Blue screen with
Checking file system on C:
The type of file system is FAT32

One of your disks needs to be checked for consistancy. You may cancel the disk check but it is highly recommended you continue.
Windows will now check the disk
Volume serial number 320D-180E

To skip disk checking press any key.

Ok so here is where the real problems start, if I decide I want to skip the checking & try to press any key it wont accept the command. Therefore, it goes through the check till finish, at the end my Windows log-in screen appears, problem now is I cant type my password into the box.
Computer hasn't froze as I can still move cursor & the occasional key press does get actioned.

HELP please, any further info needed then ask away.

Cheers.

Have you tried a different keyboard?

What does concern me though, is if it's doing that every time you boot up and you have let the scan go. That signals to me that the hard drive is starting to go.

Keyboard is fine, works ok in BIOS and safemode.

What's the deal if it is going? Fix or change???

Cheers.

You cant "fix" a hard drive. You will need to buy a new one if it is going.
Next time let the scan run. It will tell you whats doing on.
