Help power save mode!

On my dads computer it restarted into powersave mode and won't leave. He has a lg flatscreen monitor. Not sure the exact model. Please help because we can't even log on. Thanks.

I have an LG monitor,and the only reason why it goes into power save mode is because it's not getting a signal,can you try the monitor on a different PC just to make sure?

Is there anything I can do? I don' really want to take off the monitor and attach a new one. Is there anyway how? I dont want to change monitors everytime I turn off the computer.

No it's just for testing purposes,i think it may be the computer thats the problem,not the monitor.
