So my business is a Microsoft Registered Partner, and part of the benefits for that membership is the opportunity to subscribe for the Microsoft Action Pack, which is an annual subscription where Microsoft sends you internal-use and business-use copies of a LOT of Microsoft software. It goes for $299 USD and I am not sure if it is available to other countries. The software list includes: (and I read from the license table)

  • Microsoft Terminal Server 2008
  • Microsoft Account Professional 2008
  • Microsoft CRM 4.0 Workgroup Edition
  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Standard Edition
  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Standard with SP1
  • Microsoft Forefront Client Security
  • Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2006
  • Microsoft MapPoint 2009 Standard Edition
  • Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 Workgroup Edition
  • Microsoft Office Communicator 2007
  • Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 Standard
  • Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 (Speech Server Role)
  • Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 SP1
  • Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer 2007
  • Microsoft Office SharePoint Server Enterprise 2007
  • Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager
  • Microsoft Office Project Professional 2007
  • Microsoft Office Visio Professional 2007
  • Microsoft OneCare Trial
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008 CTP5
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition with SP1
  • Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager 2007
  • Microsoft Virtual PC 2004
  • Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2 Standard Edition
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Standard 32 and 64 bit
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Web Edition
  • Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 Premium Edition
  • Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate w/ SP1 32 and 64 Bit
  • Microsoft Windows Vista Business SP1 32 and 64 bit
  • Several toolkits for selling these pieces of software

So I'm happy, plus all of this for $299 a year USD with quarterly updates with additional software and new versions!!!

:D :D :D :D :D

So you pay around $300 USD per annum for ALL those products? Including updated and etc..?

In Australia, we pay that much money for Vista....

EDIT: nice deal!

Yep, plus I took a Microsoft training assessment online and I qualify for the Web toolkit so I will get Visual Studio 2008 Professional, Web Expressions, and a lot of other stuff. :D

The level I am at is a free membership. You must be an established business (small, medium, or enterprise) that is focused on computer services, especially in Microsoft. You also need a .Net account, but any MSN or Hotmail account will work. For the higher levels you need at least two Microsoft Certified associates in your company. Go to http://partner.microsoft.com for more information. I am also considering building computers as part of my business, and if that interests you as a business aspect, it might be wise to visit http://oem.microsoft.com.
