iTunes/iPod help

I have just reinstalled windows on my computer, and i have all my music backed up.

i will have to re-sync my iPod and put all my music back onto it, but i dont want to lose all my ratings, or play counts etc...

is there anyway i can stop this from happening?

i dont use an iPod, but i use iTunes.
One way i save my ratings, play counts, and etc was to back up my iTunes folder in my Music folder.
After the reformat, i put the iTunes folder back into my music folder, open up iTunes, and its like before.

thanks, the problem is i have already formatted my drive so lost all my settings from iTunes, there are however still on my iPod so i wondered if there was a way to getting the settings of that?
