Oh yea and can i overclock it and does it over heat?

the 4850 is better than the 9800GT, but compared to the 9800GTX, it wins in some games, and loses in some.

he wants to max out crysis as it seems.
I have an 8800GT OC'ed (by me), E7200 @ 3.0Ghz, and 2GB of ram running Vista.
I can only play Crysis at Gamer (high) settings and get about 20-30 FPS, and i get about 14-20 FPS on Enthusiasts (very high). with no AA. Playing at 1680 x 1050 Resolution.

Its pretty bad running it at that setting, its good to stay above 30, and best to get around 60 in case some huge explosion happens and wont lag.

That brings a different question to me....... Why is the 8800 getting all this rep for being a awesome card compared to like a 9600 or something?

Because the 8800 is a really good card.
Its all cheap now, and its still one of the best card out right now, though its outdated.
The 8800 used the be the king of all graphics cards. Out of all the cards out, only the 9800GTX/+, 9800GX2, 260GTX, 280GTX, 3870X2, 4850, 4870, 4870X2 can beat the 8800 IIRC.

The 8800GT is still a good card to get, especially if you are on a budget. The only games i have a problem running on max settings is Crysis, and Stalker Clear sky, every other games i have tried do well.

If you want me to benchmark games with my 8800GT to see if you want one or not, i can load up fraps and the game, and i will tell you what frames i am getting. I dont really have much games though since most of my money goes into my computer. So pick a game, i will tell you if i have it or not.
