HI, i know ive put several of these style posts up but im spending around £700 now and want to be sure that its being spent wisely. this is the planned build:

OCZ Freeze Extreme Thermal Conductivity Compound 3gram syringe
Sony DRU-190S 20X DVD±RW
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 G0 Stepping
Western Digital 160GB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm
Sapphire HD 4850 512MB
Coolermaster RealPower 700W Modular PSU
Antec Nine Hundred 900 (NOT CHANGING)
ASUS P5E3 Deluxe
crucial basitic tracer ddr3 10660 2 gig

thanks in advance

really like that Antec 900 eh?:D

anyways, looks nice, i dont think it would be an Okay gaming computer, but a great gaming computer. Nice Selections.

ASUS P5E3 Deluxe
Go with the regular P5E, DDR3 is pointless on a Intel FSB based platform because the higher bandwidth is just bottlenecked by the FSB. For example, if the FSB is running at 333MHz (= 1333MHz quad pumped), then running the RAM above the speed of 333MHz (= 667MHz DDR) is pointless, because the FSB will restrict the RAM.
Go with 4GB of DDR2 800, so you have some room for overclocking on your Q6600.
Coolermaster RealPower 700W Modular PSU
I'm not a big fan of CM PSUs, I would look at the equivalent Hiper Type-R model.

Also, Antec 900 sucks ass :p

I dont like ddr3 because of the high costing memory. And if you added 2 more GBs you will be about do anything you want on it. Thats because of the about 1 gig of memory for vista lol
