hi today my dell inspiron 6000 laptop died on me and there is urgent info on the hard drive that i need for this weekend. so tonight i went out and bought an enclosure and a direct usb connection wire (2 seprate products serving the same purpose) that connected my laptop hdd eide to my desktop pc via usb. though my desktop is detecting the disk (im using vista on the pc, the laptop had XP on it) it is not appearing in my computer and is displayed as Unknown and Unreadable in the "Disk Management." does anyone know the cause of this (is it a vista compatability issue) and or a solution. i need this information urgently for my company this weekend, any help would be greatly appreciated.
