What do you think of this barebones + Bluray drive?

I've been keeping an eye out for a budget gaming/bluray computer for a while now and stumbled upon this. Any thoughts on how well it would work with Windows XP plus a bluray drive.

I'm considering that, or something with this as a starting point:

Dude, go with CyberPowerPC.com, they got bluray and amazing prices.

F CyberpowerPC. Its better to build your own.
i wouldnt go with the XFX motherboard, it seems outdated, and its made by nVidia, only go with nVidia boards if you want SLI. Other than that, dont consider it.
I wouldnt get barebone because they are only about $5-$10 cheaper, at least for the things i want. and you usually wont get the bundle you want.
The AMD 5200+ is a pretty good processor, but i wouldnt get the foxconn board because its an Micro ATX, and will be hard to assemble if you are builging a gaming rig, or if you have big hands.

I'm not planning on constructing anything fancy. My budget is <$400 not because I don't have the money, just because I see no reason to spend more.

It seems the foxconn with its decent onboard GPU and HDMI output should work very well in combo with a bluray drive all on its own. If I feel I need a bit more oomph I can always throw in a dedicated GPU that will work with the onboard video ("SLI" I think?)

Basically I want something that can play 1-2 year old games (World of Warcraft, Command and Conquer, The Orange Box) at mid/mid-high graphics settings, be able to play bluray without a hitch and also have a bit of speed to do a little bit of video/photo editing. Nothing crazy though.

At the moment I'm running a lighting fast 1.8ghz P4 with 512MB ram and a Nvidea GeForce 6200. So as you can tell it won't take a lot to "Wow" me with speed.

Thanks for any more help/options.

i think its best to have a graphics card if you plan to play a game.
you could go with that board if you want, but if you put in like one of the latest cards, it might be hard to take apart later on.

What would you suggest in replacement of it at a similar price. I have a full size ATX case already, and I think the processor is a good choice. Keeping the MB and GPU under $100 what would you suggest for a gaming/movie machine?

well if you want a graphics card that can set most games out right now on High, then you will probably have to spend $100+ on a card, though there are exceptions like, do you play with AA, what resolution you play at, etc.
Im not really good finding a mobo and graphics for under $100.
so i will leave it up to the others that will help you.

Like I said, I don't need nor do I want to play games on the high settings. Spending a few hundered extra dollars to get a few more pixels isn't worth it in my book. I'm the kinda guy who just bought an Xbox360 thinking its NEW!

I'm a firm believer in paying $400 for 75% of what a $3000 computer can do. I don't need 200fps nor do I need 1800x1200 resolution. What I'd like is something that plays bluray @ 1080i (or p) without hiccups over HDMI (or DVI) and can play some newish games at mid settings. Some mild photo/video editing thrown in shouldn't be much of a problem.

Again, I thank anyone for any advice. I'm not trying to insult anyone, my glut is photography (newest and best). When it comes to computers, I just want something that works without going crazy.

Well, the biggest problem is your monitor size. Even if your computer can play that resolution. You still need a high resolution monitor to fully utilize it.

Foxxcon is an epic fail. Forget you even heard the name.
