Ok, it's been almost a year since I had my 2600PRO and I still kinda like it, but for some of my newer games, like GRID, FO:UC, PURE, and a few others, it is lagging out quite a bit, SO I would like to get a new video card, preferable less than $100, and preferable on Newegg.

If you can find something that has a mail-in rebate, that is even better.

I don't know if I can fit one of those long cards into my case...but I do some disecting if needed.

Size of the case: 15.4 × 7.3 × 17.9 inches

There is the 9800GT for $5 over $100 with the MIR. If you absolutely have to stay under $100, there is the 9600GT or the HD 3870. Both the 9600GT and the HD 3870 perform similarly.

Well, I did some research and the 8800GT is better than the 9600GT and the 3870, but costs more.

So, it comes down to the 9600GT and the 3870...I noticed that when you aren't playing anything with AA/AF, the 9600GT is better, then when turning some of those up a little bit, the 3870 is better...SOO I think I'm gonna think about the 3870. When I get it all I have to do is swap video cards and I'm done, since I already have 8.9 CCC.

Where?

How would you compare THIS 3870 with THIS 3870. The first 3870 was the one worshipme linked me to. I like the second one because it has a built-in HDMI port and I won't have to use my DVI>VGA adapter anymore. It does cost just a little bit more though...

the powercolor for sure by far, its like 40 bucks cheaper.... i'd rather save 40 bucks and use the adapter, you can you use that 40 bucks on ram or something

If u spend 5 dollars more for a different brand, you get a free call of duty 4 :)
