ok so in Canada a power outlet can handle a max of 15amps and 120V right?

so no matter what you plug into the outlet, is it always using 120V?...
i know for the amps its different.

i'm sorry, i'm trying to understand exactly how an outlet works, cause i don't want to over load my socket. i have a special adapter that tells me all these numbers...regarding amps, watts, volts...but i don't really understand all of it.

if anyone does...please explain :)

well if you plug it in, theres a transformer in the power adapter or in the device itself that reduces the voltage to what the device needs.
