how do i hide desktop icons

ok ive done this millions of times and for got how to lol...


i use objectdock and hate having the recycling bin on the desktop, how do i hide the icons

right click on your desktop>Arrange Icons By>uncheck Show Desktop Icons

these are the things that make you feel dumb lol....ive been working on 3 different computers for the last 6 hours or more so my brain is starting to fry

ok well that worked but didnt work... it hid all of the icons but also hid them in my object dock

thats because they are shortcuts from your desktop...
besides that...i am not sure how else you can hide them....why not get the programs for your object dock from you "Programs folder" in drive C:\...?

well thats all i know....maybe google might have a better answer or way of getting rid of them
