I dont know a whole lot about computers but i did some research before i installed a 80gb HD as a slave to a 40GB HD i got it working but for some reason it says that the 80GB HD only has 31.5 GB of space. Did I do Something wrong when i formatted it if so how do i fix the problem... Much Thanks

Are you running windows xp? If so, try this:
Click Start>Right-Click "My Computer">Click Manage.
On the left hand side click where is says "Disk Management". Here is tells you about your drives. Post a screenshot of this screen here so we can see what the problem is.

EDIT: ^^ exactly what I was thinking, if there is free space delete the partition and recreate it.
