i was looking at a microcenter ad that starts this monday, and on the "Pre - Installed Bundles" section, i found something that caught my eye. The bundle was an Core 2 Duo E8400/XFX nForce 680i LT SLI motherboard for $209.99.
The problem is that its a "pre installed bundle" which i dont get what that means, and maybe have some hidden charges or something. But the E8400 costs $160, so wouldnt the board cost $50? which means the board is half price according to micro center.
Should i go with it?
i am also getting an Antec Basiq there as a PSU since they are selling them for $30.
Thanks

EDIT - to anyone with 680i chipsets.
how hot do they run?

I have an XFX 680i LT with a C2D E7200 (45NM), it runs very nicely but for some reason overclocking is locked on my cpu :O

on their site, they said they are not responsible for Typography

nah, they were sold out.
But i did buy an E7200, and the XFX 680i LT for $200.
i only spent half of my budget.
Which i think its better if something goes wrong, then i would have money to replace it instead of downgrading.
