help with cable fast please!!!!

i have an hd cable box hooked up to my 1080i tv
and ive had no problems with it untill last week
showtime and hbo hd are not working all i get is gray screen
i called cable and they said theres a lose connection some where?
i think there f*** stupid because
1. ive rebooted checked the connections to my box and tv 8 times
2. if there was a connection problem wouldnt my other hd channels not work?

please help my fav show starts in an hour and id love to watch it in hd

Could be a loose connection somewhere you can't access. You may have to have a repair guy come.

when you say you rebooted, did you do it by pulling out the power cord and plugging back in? try that if you havent

How long did you leave it unplugged for?

Try doing it for like 1-2 minutes.

Is it their cable box? If so have them flush it and reprogram it. Have you check with some one else outside your house to see if theirs has gone out?
