i want to oc the q6600 to 4.0 ghz and i need to know a good cooler i want to try a water cooler but if air is going to save a lot of money or make the build easier the i will have to go with air.

i also need a good case witch i am having trouble finding i want a clear case so i can deck it out with light and make it a trophy computer.

You'll need a very goo chip to do 4GHz on a Q6600, if you buy retail, you'll have to go through quite a few before you find one good enough. Another option is to look through places like XS and OCForums, a lot of the members have gem chips for sale and you could look for a 1.2 VID Q6600. Either that, or lower your expectations to around 3.6GHz.
Water will definitely be needed for 4, but you could get away with a very good air cooler, such as the Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme for 3.6.

well i have see videos on youtube of that board and processer oced to 4.01ghz befor and i like that the board has a built in wifi.stupid reason but it help with the home network. know any good water coolers that are easy to use and install.i have looked and all i can find is parts to sets i want to find one for the whole system and like i said i want this to be a trophy system.

i will also be useing windows xp pro 32 bit do you think this will be a prolbem. unless i can find 64 bit then thats all i have.i was woundering what about useing vegetable oil for cooling i have seen this done as well.

Yes, exactly, those are gems. The average Q6600 (with tolerable voltages) will max out around 3.4GHz-3.8GHz. Only the best will reach 4 and above.
You'll have to search around for one. There's always the new E0 Q9550's.

A P45 will do a much better job with high FSBs and quads. As it's a lot of strain on the north bridge. Just get a wireless PCI card.

To make water cooling worth it, you'll need to buy the parts separately. You'll also need to spend a lot of money on it.

Pure water is best for liquid cooling. Obviously, you'll need some additives etc. Vegetable oil?

Pure water is a good idea, unlike tap water pure water isn't conductive. It is in fact the impurities such as the salts in normal water that makes it conductive. Either way I'd think long and hard before liquid cooling ANY of my machines.

then what mobo would you suggest to hit these spends easyly.i have a friend with a q6600 stock and dam thats fast it loads vista home in less then 20 sec.
