thats what i want to do run onboard with off board to get the best perfromence.

That's not what Hybrid SLi does. H.SLi just switches off the discrete GPU and only uses the onboard when running non-GPU intensive 2D apps. There is no performance increase, just a power saving. AMD's 780G/790GX IGPs can do CF with a HD 3000 series card, but that's not what Nvidia's H.SLi is for.

+ It's only supported on 750A/780A AM2+ boards AFAIK.
