This is my first time building my own computer. Could I successfully build a computer with these parts( do they fit?)? What else do I need? THANKS!

Apart from the optical drive, you have pretty much everything.

Just a few suggestions though.

There is a higher quality unit available for less money, the PCP&C Silencer is one of the best PSUs available. If you're dead set on modular, then the Corsair HX620 has the advantage over the Thermaltake Toughpower line, I think.

And will you be overclocking? You could save some money in places if you won't be.

EDIT: Don't buy the Zalman 9700, it's the most overpriced POS money can be wasted on, there are cheaper alternative that perform better. Xigmatek HDT-S1283 + Back plate

And great deal on the GTX 260 BTW, that's an excellent price.

Will I need a sound card? or anything else? im starting from scratch

Also what is the optical drive?

Do you have a high quality set of headphones or speakers? Otherwise you won't notice the difference over the motherboard's onboard sound.

This is an optical drive.

I could still hear sounds without a sound card? And should I get that optical drive? Also where can I get a Anti-Static bracelet?

What worshipme said, get a Sound Card (they're pretty cheap) and a get some random SATA optical drive and your done.
System looks good, except maybe the powersupply is too much? I'd say go 600w but not a biggie...
