Wireless Network....Limited or no Connectivity

ok so im really new to this.....can some one give me some insight as to why when Im connected to a Wireless Network (it shows up on my computer with 4 out of 5 signal bars) I get a limited connectivity and no internet access......I cant do anything with the actual Network as my computer has picked someone elses up but what might lead me to getting this issue.

windows will only connect to the networks you tell it to. once you connect to one it will save it. if youve gone on someone elses by accident just remove it from the wireless network list and start again.
