They are smacking the crap out of stuff as of last night. There was a report with tape of the first collsions on one of the networks.

They dont know WHEN they will be smacking them together at full force yet - but in the next few days they might be tapping them together for the sake of calibration

I've just read more about it.

They have just tested one beam, sending it all the way around the 27km pipe, sucessfully.

Tonight they will send two in opposite directions.

They'll then plan to cause an impact using a low amount of power.

So, it'll be a while yet, and within winter, before the full speed and power will be used.

I wonder how power stations are powering this thing...?
