Graphics Card Recommendation

Hi,

I'm new here so please don't flame if I've put this in the wrong place

I'm looking for a new graphics card for my PC. This is my spec:

Core 2 Duo E6600
2GB RAM
Gigabyte Motherboard (not sure of the model but it's a nice mid range one)
2x500GB SATAII Hard Drives
ATi Radeon x1600 Pro
580W Antec Power Supply

Being a keen gamer it's quite embarassing that I'm still running the x1600.

My budget is around £150, which I know will get me a nice mid range card. £200 tops.


Can anyone recommend me a good card which will let me run CSS, TF2, WoW, and other not-very-demanding games on their highest setting at upto 1600x1200?

£110 would get you a HD 4850, which is the price/performance card of the moment. That would be more than enough for all resolutions up to around 1600x1200. Anything above that and you'd have to make it a HD 4870.

Hmm, might go with a HD 4870, so that I've got a bit of future proofing.

I was looking at a 4870X2, but that's purely for the bragging factor. Plus my PSU probably wouldn't be able to power it.

I'll probably go with a HD4870 then, and get a couple of gigs of RAM while I'm at it.
