Unfamiliar File Types

So a buddy of mine has a video that he wanted to show me, so he sent over the files the other night, only when I received the video it came in pieces.

Two files:

-a .mdf file
-a .mds file

The .mdf is significantly larger.

So how can I get these to play?

Thank You

They are cd image files used by programs like Alcohol 120%. What you do, is mount the .mds file and it will burn the .mdf file. The .mdf file is the actual cd image and the .mds is the file that tells it what to do essentialy. So you need to have a cd image burning program like Alcohol 120%.

Ya I got that far, I downloaded daemon-tools as I've used it before.

Though when I mount the .mds it says it is an invalid image type :(

Just got a working copy of Alcohol 120% though I can't figure out how to mount an image using it..hmm

***Actually figured out how to mount, thought this program says it is an invalid image as well...hmmmm

I have had this same problem burning some "games" and can't seem to get anywhere. All I know is, after a bit of research, that the .mds file is actually the file that tells the locations of where to burn the .mdf file onto a DVD/CD. So I can't figure out how to mount both of them or how to burn them at all.

That would make some more sense.

O well we'll bump the thread till someone reads this, that knows.

:p
