4850 Purchase

I'm going to be purchasing a 4850 GPU. What about one of these two?

I personally like Sapphire.

Yeah the Sapphire and the other are about the same specs, with the exception of the 1gb to 512

I'd also go with the Sapphire (looks nicer too)

It's not worth the extra money for 1GB of VRAM, it has a negligible affect on performance.

Does Palit have a lifetime warranty? If they do go with them along with what worshipme said. Visiontek has lifetime warranties if it bothers you.

I'd go with the 1GB Sapphire, 1GB on an 8600GT and 1GB on a 4850 are two totally different animals, the 1GB on my 8600GT is really just a waste of VRAM, but the 4850 can handle higher resolutions so the extra 512MB of VRAM would/could be useful, but if you're gaming at lower resolutions don't worry about it...

plus it's what...? $20 more than the 512MB one after rebate...? I'd get the 1GB...
