Alright, I'm sure alot of people here jam to Metallica. If you are like me, then you already acquired the new album or at least heard some songs. I must say, its not bad, but not impressive either. It is however, a better improvement than their previous album St. Anger. A few of the songs have some decent riffing and the drumming, although a bit repetitive, has a more thrashy vibe and is better sounding than the trash cans Lars was jamming with on the St. Anger album. Anyway, I'm not trying to make this into a review. What is your guys takes on the new album? Like it? Hate it? In between?

Between. Some songs are 'ok' others are 'ok in some spots' and some are just plain crap.

It's OK at best. Their last good album was the Black Album. Everything after that is mostly crap.

Just heard the entire new album on the radio. The local station broadcasted "Death Magnetic" Live from Metallica HQ - hosted by Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters.
