inspiron 1200 trouble

well the onbly changes is a 1 gig mem stick was added to my 1200 inspiron, so yesterday i used it during my break, and the mouse wouldn't move! so si there a button for this i pressed them all, and then today it gave me a error code (*not a BSOD*) about a device has been removed form the modular bay? IDK what that meant ive shut it down with a usb internet adapter coudl that be it? and finally all the last few startups were BSODs i can't get the error codes now but next time it does i will post its having alot of probs lately any ideas?

have you removed the new 1 gig stick and found that you're still having problems?

Device has been removed from the modular bay ... is the CD drive loose and not positioned all the way in?

well how do i remove that i think thats it. the cd drive i mean when i pull it out of my case the cd drive is always ioen i think it has a loose fit.
