Good enough????

That system you put together would be fine. The only change I would suggest is to get the 9800GT instead of the 9500GT. It may cost £45 more, but you will be more than pleased with the gaming performance.

Hey I'm stayin on the same thread, so please don't flip out....
I've had no luck with finding one that I can just straight up buy that is cheap, so could yall give me a list of computer parts so I can build it on my own that can run COD4, Team Fortress 2 and Half Life? All I need is the computer and not a monitor and everything else, but I would prefer a quad-core....thanks so much

What's your budget?

Here's a preliminary build:

I can definitely make it cheaper if you need it to be, but that's a pretty good build. Comes out to $615. If needed, I could probably get it down to about $500, but you'd have to get a lot of crappy quality parts.

he needs to give us some basic information first before we can reasonably help him at all, like where he's from and where he can order from, his links are all over the place currency-wise, but from some of the ebay links and the fact he said he doesn't have much money, I'm guessing his budget is around $300USD...

The other link is 300GBP, which is more like $600USD. The newegg links are simply for reference.

but he may not understand the difference between GBP and USD, his ebay links were auctions starting around $200-$300 USD IIRC, I also saw this comment in one of his posts from Teny...

well, if you guys are paying attention to his previous posts, he just keeps posting links of what computer is good. Kinda annoying....
anyways from his previous posts, he said his budget was less then $300

ha, thanks yeah my budget is around between $300 and $400

yeah I don't understand USD and GBP or whatever

The eBay Link you posted would have been OK... Ish. I had a P4 with the same intergrated graphics. It would play HL2 and CSS, but not very well. I dont know about TF2 though, and i shouldnt have thought that it would manage COD4.

the computer you linked from boltonpc would've actually cost about $700 USD, as the price was listed as GBP...

USD= US dollars
GBP= Great Britain pounds (I think)...
