Will my laptop accept PC2700 RAM?

I decided to upgrade my RAM from 512 MB to 1 GB (2 x 512 MB) and I just have a quick question about compatibility.

I have a Gateway 450ROG and the specs say it supports PC2100 DDR RAM. However, I ran that "CrucialScan" program that tells you what kind of memory your computer will recognize and it said PC2700 would work with my system :eek: Is this the case? I found a good deal on Ebay for 2 512mb modules of Kingston RAM and it's PC2700 so I'd like to make sure it's compatible before I buy. Thanks for any clarification,

2 sites say 2700 one says 2100 wierd maybe it runs at both sspeed id go with the pc2700 the software was probably correct man.

You'd think it would be able to run PC3200 memory with it's 400 MHz system bus.

I would say the PC2700 memory should work well in that lappy.

Edit:

Found this from Intel -
Support for up to 2 GB of DDR 333/266/200 memory technology

DDR333 = PC2700 :D
