Laptop Lap Cooler

Any preferances on a laptop cooler for your lap?

There are many different models including some with fans that are powered from the USB port.
My HP dv6000 fries my lap after 15 minutes of usage and I need something better than a magazine placed between my lap and the machine.

Any recommendations appreciated!
