So what are your thoughts? It came to about $1,130 on Newegg after shipping, and after MIRs will come to $1,080-ish. (Also included in the order was some thermal paste, which costs about $12 with shipping...plus the case fans were $25). Did I make good choices for my debut custom build? Reassure me :)

Looks good to me, the memory isn't on the m/board QVL but hopefully you shouldn't strike any problems.

If you do happen to strike a problem at first boot, look to the memory.

A lot of people would be very happy to own that build.

Cheers

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, if there's one thing that worries me about this build, it's the RAM+mobo synergy. I've seen a ton of people complaining about the P5Q Pro's memory problems. I picked the Reapers because they had glowing reviews on Newegg, and a couple of the reviews mentioned using them with that mobo and apparently having no issues. I'll just keep my fingers crossed that I don't run into any nightmareish difficulties. Don't suppose anyone here has experience using that mobo/RAM combo?

well done, that's exactly what reviews are for, not enough people read them thoroughly...

yea that looks great i wish i could spend that.

all my builds are based on reveiws. it has to have 5 eggs. and i let 4 egg go sometimes.
