Buying parts

you could be like me and my friend, what we did in the past was get a lot of tape, and tape fans at random places inside the case.
It actually worked, i put a 92mmfan in the HDD place to blow towards my chipset, and it worked. now i dont do it anymore because of my new case and its 7 fans.
I was going to get that board for a client that wants me to build a computer for him since all the other brands werent really a trusted one, and my friend used that board before.
the chipsets are usually bound to get hot. my friend just got one of these

and just put it on there and it cooled in minutes where you are free to touch for as long as you want, though his computer was laying down instead of vertical, i think you might need to tape the fan on.
or did he put another heatsink... hmmm....
i think he did just put another heatsink on top of the heatsink because i remember that we were seeing who can hold it the longest. The add-on chipset somehow took most of the heat and the chipset were cooled.
but i would suggest getting some of those fans and put them one. and replace the thermal paste with something better.

ill try to look for some boards and post back later.

Yeah I'm going to go with the BE 5400+, RAM, and Case I posted. I just need a good mobo.

$244 after MIR

Just one question: It says no on-board video, but all this means is that it practically has no dedicated VRAM correct? I can still plug in the VGA cord so I can see enough to install my video card drivers no? I just want to double check. This is probably the best bang for the buck, even if I do end up spending a little more.

Looks good.

No onboard video means just that. There is no onboard graphics system. You must install a video card.

Yeah, but will I still be able to see before I install my video card? Like, I won't be able to see anything with the video card until I install drivers no?

if theres no onboard video, then theres no slot to plug the VGA or the DVI cable onto the back of the mobo.
So if you didnt have a graphics card, then you cant get a video signal because there is no place to plug in the monitor.

Look at the MOBO picture. There is a place to plug-in VGA, however the specs say no onboard video chipset.

edit: one other question:

Will the case come with mounting screws, the mobo, or do I have to buy separately?

the mounting screws and all the screws you'll need will come with the case.

Oh I couldn't tell. Lol. Looked like a VGA.

edit: So when I connect my 8600GT I should get image although I'll have no drivers installed correct? I'm also thinking about getting a DVI cable.
