Need advice on building a gaming pc parts list

Sup guys

My pc crashed last week and i'm trying to get it fixed but i've been wanting to build my own gaming pc for a while now. I have got a list of parts and I wanted to get some advice to weed out the stuff that is not needed, isn't compatibale, or could be better... I'm a total noob and this is my first build

My goal is to have a top of the line gaming pc. I have a spending budget of 5000.00 USD that I can put into the box. I would like to have enough left over to get a good monitor but I can use the one I have for a while so I can go all the way up to 5k on just the pc.

I have no idea whay kind of power supply or cooling system I need but I just want to get the best of the best.

First off. The video card you selected isn't the best out right now. If you really want the best gaming rig get one or two of these.

I don't think you really need 1100 watts, 900-1000 would be fine. The Case and processor look really good, not too sure how well the case performs but it looks like it'll move a lot of air. If you really want to shell out all the cash for that blu-ray burner get it, but otherwise settle for something like this.

The board you selected supports only a maximum of 8 gigs of DDR3 ram. The ram you selected is DDR2. If I were you I'd get a PSU with a lower wattage, a new board that supports Crossfire, and the card listed above.

yea, and don't get vista 64. 64 bit vista is horrible... nothing works with it, peripherals wise. not even all games work in 64, which is totally stupid. IMO everything should be 64 by now, it'd be much more efficient.

also, take the step up to a Q6600 and buy a good aftermarket cooler. quad's are too affordable atm to pass them up, and you can oc a quad to 3ghz easy, therefor programs that only use dual core will be essentially the same performance as a stock E8400. (made the mistake of going E8400, but i got a bad batch and it doesn't oc worth a crap so im in the process of trading for a Q6600 , just a suggestion, but you'll be much happier with a quad.)
