Blown RAM Slot.

I recently did a memtest on my computer and I think that my second RAM slot is blown. So my question is, can I skip the second slot. As in just put chips in the first, third and fourth slots? Will it work or will something get screwed up?

It won't run in dual channel. I'd confirm the dimm is bad though. Take out all but one stick and check every slot.

If one stick errors in all the slots its a bad stick not a bad dimm. Re test with the other stick and see if it yields the same results.

use one stick in the slot u think is blown if it fails then try the same stick in a different slot if it passes then that slot is def. blown. (does that make sense lol)

Yeah I checked with four different sticks. They all checked out fine on the first slot. Second slot is definitely blown though. So its fine to use all slots except the second one?
