hey guys not been on here alot but ive told to get a build together fast like order tomorrow.

im pretty confident in it all now im just double checking with you guys what you think.

MotherBoard - ASUS P5N-E SLI - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/125082
Processor Core2Quad Q6600 - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/131950
RAM - OCZ DDR2 800Mhz - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/116755
Hardrive - MAxtor 250Gb - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/131214
DVD RW - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/138750
Case + PSU - Cascecom with 500W PSU - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/126611

few things id like to comment on.

the Q6600 its retail so it comes with heat sink and fan yes (jus double checking) so is that any good i mean i no the pushpins are an awful design but this will not be used for anything great def not overclocking so is the heatsink good enough for everyday use ?

ok the RAM OCZ are a fair trusted make not the best but not the worse and a lifetime warranty so ....... also not to worried bout the timings as i said its a budget build ish ...

the hardrive im not too keen on maxtor myself i am a western digital man but i was given a pretty tigh budget on this,

DVD RW drive not too sure on that brand and i am aware that for £2 maybe £3 more i could prob get LG or something like that so i may also change that.

now the hardrive and DVD RW isnt my biggest worry,
my main concern is the power supply included with the case.
ive heard power supplies included with cases usually arent branded and possibly not that great.
this may be down to opinions but ive used cheap power supplies on a few occasions and not once had a problem but i hear people all the time saying NEVER buy cheap or 1 that comes with a £25 case as the case is prob like £15 so that is a cheap PSU.

anyways apologies for long post what do you think ?

Edit. ive also got this horrible feeling im missing something ill prob buy a case fan or 2 maybe a card reader and
SATA cable just incase but am i missing something else ?

obviously he has a monitor im putting XP on it but is there anything else missing ?

Looks good, but buy piss poor quality PSUs, and it will blow up in your face one day. I personally think that it would be worth spending a little extra on a more reliable unit. Some of the Hiper type-Ms are quite cheap but decent. Have a look at them.

And why the Nvidia motherboard? You can get a P35 at that price: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/140205

ok PSU may consier.
motherboard im not so keen on MSI i absolutely love ASUS and dont particulaly like MSI i did ask a while back about motherboards but no one responded.

The retail fan will be fine.

OCZ makes some excellent quality memory. Been running their stuff for a few years now with no problems.

I've heard of Optiarc. Here's a LiteOn for a few bits more http://www.ebuyer.com/product/134324

Yea, that power supply may be iffy. Might be better getting a better one depending on the video card.

How about a video card?

hes got a video card that he will be using hes got an 8600GT and may be upgrading later but yh prob shud have mentioned that.

Gigabyte is also a brand to consider, Gigabyte P35s are pretty cheap...

I owned that board for about two weeks. I didn't like the BIOS, but everything else on the board was pretty much perfect. And as you say you wouldn't be overclocking, the BIOS wouldn't be a problem.

I would seriously recommend a P35 over a 650i.
