Ok,Do Themes really slow down gaming performance in XP?

all depends i guess. if your using windowblinds or something then yes, as its a ram hogger. if your using the default xp ones or ones with the uxtheme patch then i doubt it would slow it down much. i would only say this is a problem if you have a low amount of ram. otherwise little things like this wont make much of a difference.

yeah im planning on just using a hacked UXtheme,I have 2gb RAM So it shouldnt effect it at all.

i doubt its much of a problem then. id only suggest disabling the themes service if you dont need it, or you have 256mb or less ram.
