So there has been a lot of talk about the HD 4870 being the card to get lately...costs $285 on newegg and performs amazing for the $300 price range.
Sounds good to me, but looking at benchmarks, the 9800GX2 rapes the 4870. And the 9800GX2 can be had on newegg for $285 as well. Given, I'll need a new PSU for the 9800GX2, but still...the card owns, and I need to get rid of this POS Rosewill powering my baby anyway

So I guess the question is...all those people who have been raving about the HD 4870, defend yourselves
And then, I'll need a more powerful PSU. Choices right now:

700W Silverstone with modular cables, 54A on +12V rails, but more efficient.

650W Antec with modular cables, 57A on +12V rails.

850W Antec with modular cables, 72A on +12V rails, but more expensive.
Would the 850W be worth the $50?
