need someone who knows about soundproof

Ok, As some know I'm doing sound proof, and I don't want to go near egg cartons as its a waste of time because it doesn't do the job as good.

Now I ain't made of money so I can't go out and spend alot.

I'm looking a cheap way of sound proof.

I need to know what tools to get and what sort of sound barriers i need.

I am doing music of course lol

right, found out what i need, I just went out and had a chat with a friend.

I need to get mats:

and then I need egg cartons, I know I said no but he told me about triple layer, he told me I need a base (wooden around the room) then to put egg cartons on and the fill the gaps with some filler stuff, and then some foam fibreglass stuff and put it over the egg cartons and then i need to put board over it and then the mats on the board and then wallpaper over that.

lol, something like that but I'll be making this a project+posting pictures and vids.

it will take me a few months to just get the equipment.

well egg cartons are really bad at soundproofing, just so you know.

egg cartons don't sound proof- they reduce resonance, like most of that stuff you will see.
