game problems

Keeping cool is far more important than keeping quiet - heat can kill PCBs, noise from your fans can't. One of my colleagues recently got a new heatsink/fan assembly for his 8800 - it had three fans on instead of the stock one. Of course, his case also has a well-implemented airflow system, whereby the processor fan is sending air towards the back of the case and, directly behind it, there is a case fan sucking air out of the case. I would imagine that is one of the things that helps to cool his case down overall and is possibly something you might want to consider?

thats a newer version of my case.

i dont know all the spects on my case fan but just look at that case.

i NEED my computer to keep quiet. also my GPU temp is 73 when im playing BF2. how can i lower it.

get a new heatsink?

omfg
r u serious!
look at that tin box!
no wonder your having issues!
if i was in your shoes
i would purchase this:
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/7...m_x_25mm_PWM_Fan_AF12025PWM.html?tl=g36c15s60
then i would cut a big hole in the front of the case the size of it
then add some of this:
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/6...zed_-_Black_-_ACR-XP91585.html?tl=g36c121s450
its supposed to be some mesh
then bolt everything in and plug in the fan
then do that over again on the side of the case
and if you want to calm your controll issures down (like me)
you can add this
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/9..._Port_Baybus_w_BlueRed_LED.html?tl=g34c17s285
or
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/7...-_Multi_Port_-_Black.html?tl=g34c17s285#blank
and then wire up the fans to the switches
and you can flip them on when you play games
and turn some off when your watching a movie
or at idle
and to know your temp you could add one of these
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/6...uge-Syle_Thermometer_TM05.html?tl=g44c133s456
and this to hold it
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/3...Guage_Mount_-_Black.html?tl=g34c137s292#blank

but thats just me
and i like to be different
wait until my pc is completely finished :D

but just look at that case.
Unfortunately the specs listed don't give any information on the case fan CFM.

I think you may be surprised just what difference the shroud may make, up to you if you try it or not.

Looking at the case it seems quite "basic" but I did notice that it has removable/washable filters listed in the spec, have you cleaned these recently?

Is the provision to fit another exhaust fan at the rear?

To cool your video card the fan needs to have cool air to blow over the core/memory, if the case itself is hot inside the your gpu cooler (no matter which one you use) is going to struggle. At this stage I believe replacing the stock cooler probably will not help much, I firmly believe you need to address your case cooling first.

What is the state of your cabling? All nice and tidy to maximise airflow?

With case cooling think wind tunnel, the more air that flows through the cooler it will be.

the °C v dB ratio is something you have to juggle to suit your needs, you'll have to look for a CFM/dB/rpm ratio fan that is good for you.

i knowticed that my BIG fan in the back makes air flow OUT of the case. should i turn it around so air goes INTO the case?

what exactly is the GPU anyway..? part of the CPU? or is that just the CASE.

as i said. that case isnt the one i have. i dont think they sell mine anymore but that one looks like it is an update of mine. i dont have any filters or anything that i know of. ill post later with pictures of my fans and case.

Leave the fan alone, you need more exhaust not more intake.

GPU is Graphics Processing Unit, in other words your video card.

what u want to do is a case mod of some sorts.

2 of my fans have air blowing into the case, and the big one in the back is sucking out the air

if u have major trouble, or on a small budget, i would use a household fan to cool the case
