Well, I was thinking about this. I decided that there are more parts available, with much more online support for Non-Specialised components. This is quite a beast, as i'm sure you'll agree . Maybe you could persuade me why a Xeon would be better?

Meh. The build you listed is defintly beastly. I just wondered why you hadn't. Honestly I would have to research why using a xeon would be better.

EDIT: Well, after looking it up, the main difference is the ability to use ECC or FB RAM instead of DDR2 or 3. In your case it's defiantly not needed, that is for beefy stuff.

Yeah, I did have a look at the Xeon range. I just decided to go with a high end quad core

Better speed and a lot better it is used on a lot of servers.
