what are some good 3D software to work on?
i havent did 3D in like 2 years, and the only software i used were Vue, and Maya.

I think this programme is a good a one for doing 3D models.

Carry on using Maya I think :)
You'll get to grips with it if you keep working at it.
 
I'd try out the demo of Modo if I were you as well. For some reason, it wouldn't work on my PC, but it seems like an amazing modeler.

I struggled with Maya but found it very capable.

3Dstudio seems to be an ice breaking norm.
 
I use 3DSMax, and its a pretty good program. Its a bit...complicated at times.

I can't help but feel, if Modo worked on my machine, that it would have been the better modeller available for me to use :(
It also allows you to texture and sculpt within the program itself, without using external sculpters like Z-Brush/Mudbox.
