So Im thinking of building my first computer. Doesnt have to be the most amazing computer ever.
Dont wan to spend alot. just want to build one to feel the accomplishment. It wont have to do much. Web, lilttle programming here and there, and school work.
Here is what Im looking at -

Keyboard/mouse - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823173013
Total with warrantys - $ 643.91 after rebates 608.91

What do you all think? I was thinking maybe a different choice in memory.
Operating system will either be XP or a linux distro.

Mobo - good choice, gigabyte is a brand i trust.
HDD - it'll work fine, glad you chose seagate with their warranty.
Memory - no complaints, g.skill is a good reputable brand.
CPU - upgrade to a 5000X2.

Tower - i own this sigma case, its pretty similar build wise to the raidmax and IMO is built better. i've built 3 custom machines with the raidmax cases at work and im not a fan.. i love this sigma though.

PSU - the sigma does offer a case with a PSU, however NEVER trust case psu's unless its a super expensive case. get this PSU.

dont buy the extended warranty, they aren't needed. good luck, and enjoy!

Nice. New total is $690.66. After rebates $650.66. Will this be a fairly fast setup? Possibly be able to play a few games? If not, no big deal, Just curious.

not gonna play decent games on integrated graphics either.
i hope he hasnt ordered it already otherwise he's gonna be bummed when he tries to play crysis or gta : sa on integrated graphics and looking kinda  when it says incompatible graphics card etc.

i know eh...his heart will be crushed :p

Ah yes, the graphics card. I was thinking about just using the integrated port for now. I cant decide on a graphics card. Any suggestions would be great!

When I asked about games I meant, speed wise. Will it be lagging? I dont think it will.
Might be playing games like, Need for Speed, GTA,Halo.

And no, I havent bought anything yet, I really want to wait and see if Newegg has a free shipping promo. I get e-mails from them all the time saying free shipping.
