My cpu is running at 47 celcius and when playing games at 55 celcius.

Is this safe? or should i invest in a better heatsink? I am currently using the stock Intel Heat sink that came with me E8400 3.0 ghtz

???

Do these temperatures look fine?

You'll be fine. You could always re-seat the heatsink with some new thermal paste just to be safe.

Can you post the temps displayed by Real Temp, iirc Hardware Monitor uses an incorrect TjMax and Asus Probe II is a POS, your temps may actually be up to 10°C less

I was right, 9°C difference HWMonitor is using a TjMax of 105°C

You're fine, what is load under Real Temp?

He wants to know what his temperatures are when both cores are working at %100.

Like Cabbs says, what are your load temperatures with both core at 100% (prime95 or similar) reading with Real Temp.
