XP Disc Question

Is it legal to make a backup copy of the windows xp installation disc? Just asking because I am wanting to make a copy that I could use for installing xp on other machines (with their respectable legal keys of course). I just feel safer using a copy than using the original disc because I use it quite a bit and I don't want to have to buy another xp disc if the original gets damaged or scratched.

Yes, you can make a backup copy and use that. Better yet, you can make a slipstreamed XP/SP2 disk.

yeah i believe only one though and like he said make a slipstream with sp2

What is a slipstream? And can anyone show me the easiest way to make a copy?

I'm glad I could help. The nice thing about having XP slipstreamed with SP2 is that you now can install XP on large drives and it will "see" the entire amount of space available on the drive.
