Is there some software that will kill an application that just won't end no matter what you do to it, stop it, kill it...whatever.

If so, what is the name of it?

Why do you need software if command prompt will do that for you?

You can try ProcessExplorer. Do a Google search for it. It might work, it might not.

But I would go with what Joga said because it works better.

Go to command prompt with administrative privileges, type "taskkill /F /IM ProgramNameHere.exe" without the quotes.

Sometimes it don't work, especially when my windows freeze.

on occasions when I am d/l something big and then try to do something else like install an apps or d/l something else small my PC may hang and the only way to stop it is by force reboot.
