Haha my neighbor used to have one. It was sooo cool. I don't think they had chapters though so restarting movies sucked. Lol the disks were so big too.

They were pretty sophisticated back in the day. Most of them had S-Video outputs, which was basically unheard of.

Picture quality wise with video tape, it was like comparing night and day.

Very true. I was fascinated by them way back then. Given the chance I'd probably pick one up assuming I could find some good movies for it.

I think I still have the Back to the Future trilogy on Laserdisc around here somewhere.

Haha well we always rented our movies and shows on Laserdisc and it was just annoying having to hold such a big disc all the time.

They never caught mainstream. Don't recall seeing them at Blockbuster.
